Monument Hill George Town January 2010

Good Morning to All!

Yesterday, Saturday the 16th, we took the Dinghy over to Monument Beach, and hiked up to the monument... Awesome hike and unbelievable views....We hiked with a couple we met that have a border collie named Samson... What a ham!! Made us miss our puppy dogs.. Cats don't hike so well!! Ha! After reaching the monument we made our way down to the ocean side.. Can not explain how beautiful it is.... Weather is improving, Dwayne hopes to dive this upcoming week for "bugs" and we have a good source for fresh conch.. We plan on staying around this general area for awhile... The homemade fresh Bahamian bread is making me fat... it's perfect for French Toast... Yummy.....

  1. Hello! It sounds like things are going pretty good right now. I would love to be where you are. Again, you both look great and none the worse for wear. Enjoy your stay there and as always I will follow along. Good luck diving and getting some "bugs." Linda, I speak for everyone here when I saw we miss your smiling face and happy demeanor. Love ya bunches,

  3. Hey, L'il Cuz ! So glad that you are doing well with your travels. Had worried that you might feel some of the tidal affects from Haitian earthquake - delighted that you have not ! Continuing to enjoy your pics and you're getting a great tan - the healthy, happy glow:) Did you say earlier that "bugs" are shrimp ?
A little tidbit from here is that, if she makes it that long, Shana will have her little girl the day after your Bday and anniversary. She will have a C sec in Concord (where she was born almost 38 yrs. ago)and the little girl will be named Salem Grace. Will send notes and pics !
Another little item, is that Carolyn just posted on FB that she is on the way to Y'ville with A. Mildred to see A. Edith and as many of us as possible. Had thought about trying to meet her there, but was with Shana last weekend (she had the flu) and not feeling tiptop myself today. I know that they will have a good time. Isn't amazing that they are the last of the Wms. children ?
Take care and send when you can.
    Love you much, Shirls
